About Us

Capital Energy Partners (CEP) is a family owned business with over 50 years combined experience in the energy sector dating back to the 1980s. For 12 years the managing partners of CEP have taken this industry knowledge to provide custom energy portfolios to our clients to manage their costs and operations.

John Hamor
John has been in the energy industry for over 40 years. With the New York Power Authority, he worked his way up to become the executive director of governmental affairs and took lead roles in such initiatives as the Power for Jobs program. John has spent time working at energy supply companies but to better help his clients has transitioned to being an energy advocate for his customers for 12 years now and counting.

Michael Hamor
Michael comes from the New York Public Service Commission as well as the NYS Energy Research & Development Authority. He has over 14 years of experience working with the industrial, commercial and municipal sectors ranging from energy efficiency to project financing to commodity purchasing.
